From the crater pool of Y2K
And when I hit the deck I did not expect
The winds to turn and surge my way
And the truth I floundered to

The waves are channeled as Poseidon breathes
No course correction seemed to stop the meeting
Of the seams between the skies and seas

Both fisherman and fish together knew

And the styx is a stagnant river

That spirals down a stagnant whirlpool

You know I tend to find that it's a very straight line
That's sliced up by the fates
And the dolphins and the turtles from the bottom of a whirlpool
Have an accent I can't quite place
And so they sing a tune
That I don't know the lyrics to
And I get a funny feeling
Like I've missed some kind of cue

I settled to the floor in a house so very storied
In the cheaper part of town
It's built from little bits of Theseus' ship
And there's plenty to go around
